WHAT IS “IGNITING GLOBAL PRAYER (IGP)”?

Churches of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada have historically had a major role in sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ around the world. Churches and International Workers are now required to enter into a Seamless Link Covenant to ensure full engagement of the local church and International Workers in our shared calling to reached the least reached and that we truly become a transformed and trans-formative movement of churches.

When a church is ready to finalize a Seamless Link Covenant, the Seamless Link Advisor will contact the Alliance Pray! Team to arrange an Igniting Global Prayer seminar to teach, to identify people willing to pray, and to provide resources to help the church and International Workers build a strong culture of prayer in the church and Seamless Link Covenant relationship.

Working with the church and Seamless Link Advisor, Alliance Pray! will select a speaker for the Igniting Global Prayer Seminar. The seminar usually begins Friday evening 7:00 - 9:00 pm with three sessions on Saturday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. The exact dates and times will be determined locally.

The teaching will focus on the least reached people group adopted through the Seamless Link Covenant relationship and enhance the prayer life of the local church.

All expenses related to providing the speaker will be covered by the Alliance Pray! Team. If the church decides to retain the speaker to speak at the weekend services, the church will be responsible to cover those expenses. The church can work out specific details with their Seamless Link Advisor.

The goal of the Seminar is to develop or enhance a prayer team who will commit to pray for the least reached people group represented in the Seamless Link Covenant relationship, while facilitating a deeper walk with Christ for the local church and International Workers.
